Hallo iedereen,
Greetings Linda
Thank you for your email.
If an applicant is in Australia, an applicant may validly apply to the Perth Offshore Parents Centre for an Offshore Parents subclass visa only if they do not have a (No Further Stay) condition (e.g. 8503 attached to the visa that they hold at the time of application). Parents who have had previous application refused while they are in Australia may also be prevented from applying in Australia under Section 48 of the Migration Act 1958.
Offshore applications do not attract a bridging visa permitting applicants to stay onshore whilst the application is being processed.
Toen heb ik hierop weer een berichtje gestuurd met de vraag of er een manier is waarop mijn moeder hier in Australie op een legale manier de 10 tot 14 jaar wachttijd bij ons af mag wachten. Daarop kreeg ik dit bericht:
Thank you for your e-mail.
In reponse to you email regarding other options for Parent Migration;
Perth Offshore Parents provides these other visa options:
The temporary to permanent Contributory visa process allows for the
payment of the second visa application charge (2nd VAC) to be spread
over two instalments. Approximately 60% of the 2nd VAC for
Contributory Parent Migration is paid at the temporary stage. The
remaining 40% is then paid at the permanent stage.
You should be aware that the 2nd VAC is indexed and is usually
increased on 1 July each year. The 2nd VAC that must be paid is the one
that existed at the time of the application being decided. You
should be aware, therefore, that the 2nd VAC for the permanent stage may
not be the same is it was when you apply for the temporary visa.
The requirements for the temporary visa are very similar to those for
the CA-143 (Contributory Parent – Migrant) – except that there is no
Assurance of Support or Assurance of Support Bond.
UT-173 (Contributory Parent – Temporary) visa holders are granted a
visa that is valid for two years and grants the holder full work rights
and Medicare. The visa also permits multiple re-entry travel.
Holders of this visa must also apply for the permanent visa before their
visa expires. If they do not do this, they must leave Australia as
they will not be the holder of a valid visa for Australia.
The process for applying for a CA-143 (Contributory Parent – Migrant)
Visa is easier for the holders of UT-173 visas. This is as they do not
need to meet many of the requirements again, such as Balance of
Family. The remaining 40% of the current Second Visa Application charge
is paid with this application.
Applicants who are the holders of a UT-173 visa who want to apply for
the permanent category should complete Form 47PT and are not
required to submit documents that have already been submitted.
You can also be inside or outside of Australia at the time of the
visa grant. If you are inside Australia, you will also be granted a
Bridging Visa that will remain in effect until your application is
finalised. This Bridging Visa ensures that your lawfulness and
entitlements (such as Medicare) remain.
This information, and more, is also available in Booklet 3 – Parent
Migration. This is available for download free of charge at
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/books3.htm . Alternatively, you
can purchase one of these booklets for a small fee at your nearest
Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) office.
If you have a further query, we recommend that you use the
parents@immi.gov.au e-mail box. This allows DIMA to still answer your
e-mail if your contact or case officer in the Perth Offshore Parents
Centre (POPC) is on leave.
