Als je een nieuw paspoort of ID moet aanvragen maar je woont te ver van Sydney af, het CG komt in januari 2023 met een pop-up in Perth. Je kunt een afspraak regelen via de link, maar wees er wel snel bij, ze kunnen niet iedereen bedienen.

Dear Dutch citizens in Western Australia,
On the 17th, 18th, and 19th of January 2023, Consul Meike de Jong, accompanied by consular staff, will visit the office of our external service provider VFS Global in Perth.
There are appointments available to apply for a Dutch passport or ID card on those days.
Appointments can be booked via the following link on our website:

We look forward to welcoming you during our visit.

He? Ik dacht dat je bij VFS altijd al een paspoort kon krijgen? Zo heb ik in ieder geval 1 van de paspoorten van de kids gekregen?

Ja. Ik geef alleen door wanneer er in de state capitals een pop-up opent omdat dat altijd nogal kort-dagnieuws is. Dat Perth toevallig een andere regel heeft doet er in dit verband niet toe. Iemand die in de Nullarbor zit kan ook van de Perth pop-up gebruik maken.

Good news for Dutch citizens in and around Melbourne!
It will soon be possible to apply for a Dutch passport or ID card in Melbourne all year round, at the office of our external service provider VFS Global.
Please note that, unlike the Consulate, VFS Global charges a service fee of AUD 35.05 for handling a passport or ID card application. However, this is cheaper and less time-consuming than a trip to Sydney!
VFS aims to open the appointment system in early January 2023 and receive its first Dutch applicants in early February. Please follow our website for any updates!

Happy days! Alhoewel ik leuke herinneringen heb aan mijn laatste paspoort-tripje naar Sydney tijdens Vivid 😍

Dito! In 2018 een weekje Sydney rondgetoerist met als excuus dat ik een nieuw paspoort moest :). Ik zag al uit naar de volgende keer in 2028. Maar ik realiseer me wel dat het voor drukbezette werkenden en gezinnen met veel familieleden tot nu toe een dure en tijdrovende trip is geweest, die zullen wel blij zijn. En we kunnen voor een nieuw paspoort als we willen nog steeds gewoon naar Sydney!
