Scholen gezocht in Australië

Hallo,
Wij zijn 2 docenten(Engels en Aardrijskunde) op het St Michael College in Zaandam(voortgezet onderwijs havo/vwo). Graag wil ik een uitwisseling van presentaties(powerpoint of prezi) opzetten tussen Nederlandse en Australische leerlingen. Doel is het Engels verbeteren van mijn leerlingen(11-12 jaar oud) en meer interesse kweken voor Australië en Nederland anderzijds.

Opzet: mijn leerlingen(8 eerste klassen) maken een presentatie over een Nederlands onderwerp en wisselen dat uit met hun Australische leeftijdsgenoten. De uitgewisselde presentaties zullen door mijn leerlingen in het Engels worden gepresenteerd aan hun klasgenoten. Er zal veelvuldig contact zijn via email tussen de leerlingen voor het inwinnen van informatie. Om het project af te ronden zal er een ‘Australië avond’ georganiseerd worden. We proberen deze avond zo creatief mogelijk in te vullen(muziek, contact via skype en chat, eten etc.).

Mijn vraag: Wie kan mij helpen aan een enthousiaste school die dit project in september/oktober met ons wil draaien?

first of all my apologies for not replying in Dutch (I am British with a Dutch wife, so my written Dutch is hopeless)

I would suggest possibly contacting my sons previous school here in Australia in Monbulk and seeing if they might be interested. The school is only small (about 125 kids in total) but the area we are situated in has an extremely high percentage of Dutch migrants dating back nearly 50 years, and a lot of the children have either parents or grandparents that were born in Holland.

many have never been to Holland, or briefly visited, but are probably interested in more.

if you are interested the head of school is Frank Dame and the schools website is here:

Year 6 here is the same age group as your students.
