You all pile out of the big lorry ignoring the cold stares from the guy trying to park his 80 foot bdouble for a regulation break, send the kids to line up at Maccas for 57 minutes then still have no fkn clue what they want by the time you reach the server

Gelukkig: Wel strak blauw en zon. Uiteindelijk waren de temperaturen op zich niet eens mijn grootste struikelblok in NL. Het is dat het gecombineerd is met miezer regen en een oneindige hoeveelheid dagen met een grijs gesloten wolkendek.

True. Dat mis ik zeker niet. Alleen kwamen we erachter dat t binnen net zou koud werd als buiten. Even een heater gehaald en de doos met winterkleding open getrokken.

Ja, die les leren we allemaal hier. Ik heb het bijna nergens zo koud gehad als in Australia. In NL is het binnen altijd comfortabel. In AU is het dan te warm, en dan te koud ;)

Onze huur ervaring in Canberra 'dwong' ons dan ook om toch een huis te kopen ipv te blijven huren. Dat hebben we dan gelijk geïsoleerd en centrale verwarming in aan laten leggen.

Zelfs hier in QLD gebruiken we de aircon meer als heater dan als koeling. Als Nederlander ben je gewoon niet gewend om met 4 truien en je jas aan plus een muts op, binnen te zitten. (Ik zie het echt in video calls e.d.)
