Wij zijn op zoek naar een nanny voor onze twee kinderen. Aangezien we onze kinderen tweetalig opvoeden, zou het erg fijn zijn als we iemand konden vinden die Nederlands spreekt. Ik heb hieronder de positie beschrijving 'geplakt'. Ik hoop dat iemand interesse heeft!
· Our family (Australian / Dutch) is looking for a fun, responsible and trustworthy Dutch-speaking nanny for our two beautiful bilingual children (boy aged 5 and infant girl aged 10 months).
Specification:
· Monday – Friday (occasional evening and weekend work would be available if desired).
· The job has a minimum of 35 guaranteed hours per week (excluding public holidays and vacation), actual hours varying on a weekly basis. However, the successful candidate will have to be available up to 50 hours per week in case additional care is required due to the parents’ work travel requirements. Advance notice would be given and nanny would be paid accordingly.
· Hours: Availability required between 7:30am – 6:00pm (actual hours and weekly schedule to be agreed upon on a weekly basis, minimum of 35 hours per week). We can be flexible and will try to accommodate specific needs. We try and keep our own working hours to a minimum to be able to spend time with the kids and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
· Location: North Ryde (Lane Cove side). We are very close to basic shops and numerous parks.
· Our full-time requirements begin in August and we are looking for a long-term commitment.
Responsibilities:
· Nurture and care for our infant girl. She will be 10 months old when the full-time position starts (Aug).
· A fun and entertaining carer for our son for 3 days per week. He will attend long term day care / pre-school for 2 days per week (will start school in Jan, when a different care schedule for him will commence).
· Foster language skills by speaking Dutch only.
· Drop off and pick ups for our son to pre-school, if required.
· Drop off and pick ups for our son to after school activities, if required. He currently attends Dutch school on Tuesdays in St Ives.
· Attend play groups with the kids, take them to the park, read to them, play with them, teach them age appropriate skills and maintain their eating and sleeping schedules.
· Food preparation for both children.
· Pick up / clean up after the children, light household duties (we do have cleaners). Laundry not required.
· Guide and discipline when needed.
· Ensuring a safe environment for both children.
· Organise play dates.
· Help with homework, if applicable.
· In case of later days, bath the children, give them dinner and get them ready for bed.
· Communication with the parents regarding the children’s needs and updates. This includes keeping a daily nanny diary.
· The father of the family works from home (with travel commitments outside of the home) and, while available for advice, the occasional cuddle and play, will need to be left in peace.
Qualifications:
· Experience with infants and older children.
· Outstanding references and background check.
· Working with children license or check desired.
· First aid and child care qualifications desired.
· Must have a full and clean driving license. Car desired.
· Non-smoker

· We are looking for a nurturing person who excels at developing infants and toddlers.
· The successful candidate will have a track record of raising young children in a loving way.
· The person will have to be flexible in number of hours per week (although minimum number of 35 hours guaranteed), daily timings and additional hours, if requested (within set boundaries agreed upon).
· The person will be attentive to the children’s needs and proactive in their development.
· Punctuality and dependability are paramount. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have exemplary attendance and performance in past roles.
· The successful candidate will have to be a high energy person with the ability to multi-task.
· The person will have to be fluent in Dutch and English.
· Must love animals (we have an adorable and sweet little dog, cavoodle (non-allergenic)).
· Must be able to cook simple children’s meals.
· Must be confident to look after children on their own.
· Must be willing to commit to longer term contract.
· Ability to speak Spanish a bonus but not essential.
