Hoi Tamara,
Als je specifieke vragen hebt over een Skilled Visa kan je misschien beter je vragen stellen op de Skilled Visa board:
http://www.xpdite.net/forum/index.php?board=29.0
"Mr. Meester’s position is based on his qualifications and experience in the occupation of Supply and Distribution Manager. Applicants who apply under this occupational classification are required to have their skills positively assessed by the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). We note that the requirements for the AIM are very strict and we would need to review Mr. Meester’s work experience in more detail in order to ascertain if his managerial skills are at the required level.
We have researched Mr. Meester’s position in relation to the skilled occupations list in conjunction with ASCO (Australian Standard Classification of Occupations) guidelines and are of the view that he may be in a position to consider applying as a “Supply and Distribution Manager”.
The occupation of “Supply and Distribution Manager” is listed on the Skilled Occupations List as a managers and administrators occupation for which specialist training is required. Applicants are generally required to have the equivalent of an Australian bachelor’s degree and must have experience which is specifically related to the occupation.
Please note that a Manager is generally defined as a person who has responsibility for planning, organising, controlling and decision making, including the direction and control of supervisory and operative staff in industry, commerce and government. For the purposes of migration, this covers the following Managerial classifications:
• General Manager
• Human Resource Manager
• Production Manager (Manufacturing)
• Production Manager (Mining)
• Sales & Marketing Manager
• Supply and Distribution Manager
‘Managers’ are required in most cases to have bachelor, masters or post-graduate diploma level qualifications and be at the 'Associate Fellow' level as prescribed by the Australian Institute of Management.
Associate Fellow level is described as a senior management position such as chief executive, general manager or senior functional manager who delegates authority to several persons holding positions which require management skills at "Member" level (i.e. persons who have management or delegational responsibilities themselves) or a specialist position requiring management and entrepreneurial skills, the exercise of which will have substantial impact on the overall operations of the business. Furthermore, ‘Managers’ applying under this class must meet one of the following sets of criteria.
1. A BA in management or business administration or in a discipline appropriate to the applicant’s management work plus a MA, postgraduate diploma or graduate diploma in management studies or business administration assessed as comparable to an Australian MA postgraduate diploma or graduate diploma and at least 2 years work experience in a management position at the Associate Fellow level as described above.
2. A BA in management or business administration or in a discipline appropriate to the applicant’s management work assessed as comparable to an Australian BA and at least 3 years work experience in a management position at the Associate Fellow level as described above.
3. A qualification in management or business administration assessed as being comparable to an AFQ advanced diploma or RATE diploma and at least 4 years work experience in a management position at the Associate Fellow level as described above.
4. Without formal qualifications or with formal qualifications which are not relevant to the field in which the manager is working. Applicants in this group must have at least 5 years work experience in a management position at the Associate Fellow level as described above.
Applicants who nominate a Management occupational classification are required to have their skills assessed by the Australian Institute of Management (AIM), who would determine their eligibility to apply.
Applicants obtain a positive skills assessment from the AIM by meeting the requirements for membership at ‘Associate Fellow’ level may be eligible for 60 points.
Applicants are advised to have a strong record of proven senior management experience before proceeding. The applicant should hold position in which they delegate authority to other managers who themselves are responsible for planning, organisation and decision making.
We note that Nursing Managers, Engineering Managers, Finance Managers, IT Managers, Policy & Planning Managers and School Principles do not fall under these guidelines, as they are assessed by the assessing authority relevant to their specific field.
We note that the requirements of the AIM are quite strict and strong evidence of senior management experience is required.
We would need to investigate your work experience in more detail in order to ascertain whether you could nominate this occupation.
If Mr. Meester is assessed as qualified in this occupation, in accordance with the requirements of the Australian assessing authority, he may be eligible for 60 points."
Groeten,
Susan
