Ja ik weet ook wel dat het er in de zomer erg puffen wordt en doe daar nog eens de hoge vochtigheidsgraad bij en de regenval . Ach het is overal wel iets hoor :wink: . We hebben onlangs een informatieboekje gekregen over Cairns en daar staan alvast heel leuke tips in .
Vooral als het daar "winter" is .Er komt daar blijkbaar een heel erge bacterie voor ,nml de " Visitorus paradisaurus ) HEEl ernstig gevaarlijk :-o .Lees maar :
SPECIAL MENTAL HEALTH WARNING ABOUT LIVING IN THE TROPICS
In winter an extremely frightening spieces (visitorus paradisaurus ) migrates to the tropics . These humanoid creatures look harmless enough,but may cause mental health problems .
They are friends and family that crawl out of the woodwork to visit you in paradise .The cousin that you fought with in 1972 suddenly remembers how close you were and turns up with the family in tow to settle in your lounge ,eat like locusts and make you act as an honorary tour guide .This is your chance to tell them tales about 18 m crocodiles ,stingers that fly and koala'drop'bears ,in the remote possiblility it might scare them off.The migration pattern of visitorus is primarily from March to October ,with strays occurring throughout the year .If visitorus reach plague proportions ,recommend they stay at a motel or caravan park . :-D :-D :-D
WHILE THIS "PEST"CANNOT BE ENTIRELY ERADICATED HERE SOME TIPS TO HELP YOU CONTROL THEM :
- Turn your spare room into a study ,and don't by a sofabed - it only encourages them.
- Keep a stack of tour brochures handy.
- Point out the hotels which are pick up points for major tour companies ,so that you won't have to drive people around .
- Provide visitors with a bus time table ,with the local taxi number written in big red letters ,or recommend a hire car company.
- intoduce visitors to your local market ,butcher and baker .
- Show them how the stove and washing machine work.
- Buy cheap toilet paper.
- Don't alter your lifestyle any more than you are happy to.
