Mijn God....wat een verschrikking moet dat zijn als je nu in Azië zit of zat. Wat een ellende maken deze mensen mee.

Er zijn zoveel mensen die reddeloos verloren zijn, ga je wel nadenken over de betrekkelijkheid van dingen in het leven. Waar maken wij ons nu druk om of je kunt emigreren of niet, hoe lang je nog moet wachten op antwoord etc etc.

Hoe denken jullie over geld storten op giro 555? Zou het echt aankomen waar het nodig is???

En hoe zit het Australië is de noordwestkust ook getroffen??

Laten we met z'n allen actie ondernemen, in plaats van  of EN oudejaarsloten kopen kunnen we ook geld geven aan onze medemens.

Mijn gebeden gaan uit naar deze mensen !

Unusual tides seen in WA
December 28, 2004

UNUSUAL wave conditions and tidal surges up to a metre higher than usual were experienced along the West Australian coast in the wake of the catastrophic Indian Ocean earthquake, the Bureau of Meteorology said today.

The waves were experienced throughout Sunday evening and into Monday morning, regional director Gary Foley said.

"The first waves arrived on the west coast on Sunday afternoon and continued into Sunday evening, and on Monday morning there were still some reports of unusual wave conditions," he said on ABC radio.

He said WA had now experienced three tsunami waves in the past 30 years.

"We had one in the 1970s that affected Cape Leveque, up near the Broome area, and we had one about 10 years ago, 1994, that affected the North-West Cape area, and now this one.

"There's three in the last 30 years and the only other report we've been able to really get was the Krakatoa explosion in the 1880s."

ABC radio reported uncommonly strong tidal activity up and down the WA coast, with reports of damage to boats in the mid-north.

It also said two people had been rescued after strong tidal surges swept them out to sea in the southwestern town of Busselton, where tidal surges of one metre were recorded every 30 to 60 minutes.
