www.minister.immi.gov.au/med...ia04/v04059.htm
"At this time there is no indication whether those whose applications have been lodged already will be assessed under the present 115 points pass mark, or the new pass mark - if past precedent can be relied upon we would expect applications that have been lodged already to be assessed against the 115 points pass mark."
"To be honest, what really annoys me is the Minister making comments when the underlying legislation hasn't been published. The absence of detailed guidance generates uncertainty for applicants, and no end of difficulty for us as migration advisors trying to guide existing and possibly intending clients as to their visa strategy. It would be so much better to have the legislation published and for the Minister to then make her public pronouncements, rather than announcing changes in migration policy by way of Media Releases.
The reality I fear is that the detailed legislation hasn't yet been finalised."

En nog een Alan Collett:
"I think that in the next few weeks we might also see some "tweaking" of the points in the light of this week's report into skilled migration - such as more points for spouse skills or for work experience in Australia. Watch this space ...
Also, don't forget the State Nomination option if you are considering a move to VIC, SA, or TAS."
