Dear Sir/Madam,
Written Road Rules Test Fee Refund
I am writing to you about the written road rules test that you undertook when you transferred your overseas driver licence to a Queensland driver licence.
An amendment was made to the Transport Operations (Road Use Management - Driver Licensing) Regulation 1999 on 1 March 2006. The amendment exempts holders of some overseas drivers licences from having to undertake a written road rules test and pay the related fee.
Queensland Transport has recently conducted a review which indicated that the department has incorrectly required some customers to sit the written road rules test and pay the relevant fee. As a result, Queensland Transport is refunding the written road rules test fee to those customers.
You have been identified as one of the customers eligible for the refund. The cheque attached to this letter provides full details of the refund.
I apologies on behalf of Queensland Transport for any inconveniences this matter has caused.
If you have any further enquiries... etc etc
