Rijbewijs omzetten!!

Lezen we overal dat je een theorie test en een rijtest moeten afleggen om een NSW rijbewijs te krijgen en wij dus boekje over regels lezen enz.

Maar gisteren gingen we onze nieuwe aanwinst laten omzetten bij de RTA en die vertellen ons doodleuk dat we zo een rijbewijs kunnen ophalen. Even gelijk een oogtest gedaan, paspoort laten zien, foto maken en even 90$ betalen en we hadden beiden ons rijbewijs easy as that!!!  :lol:

Volgens mij zou dat dan toch ook in de rest van de staten moeten kunnen?

Bij ons ging dat anders, wij moeten de testen doen (moet allemaal nog). Niks niet zomaar een rijbewijs halen dus. BUMMER!
 
QLD moet volgens mij een theorietest doen. Ik kijk met argusogen mee in de auto hier. Zier er zelfs een beetje tegenop om zelf te gaan rijden :-o. Maar ik moet natuurlijk. Vanaf volgende week ga ik zelf een beetje wielen met mijn vader naast me.
 
Komt goed hoor Lin, gewoon verstand op nul, rustig rijden en als je bij een kruispunt of iets komt vooraf achter je oogjes proberen te zien wie waar vandaan komt en wie er voorrang heeft.

Ik moest in Victoria toch echt een theorie test afleggen (leuk, met de befaamde hook-turn in Melbourne stad erin!)..........Kreeg toen wel mijn NL rijbewijs onbeschadigd retour, terwijl me gezegd werd dat het ding "verknipt" zou worden........

Ik heb m'n rijbewijs nog niet eens!
Ben nu bezig met lessen en de kans is groot dat als ik het nog niet zo lang heb, al daar ga rijden...
Ik zie al op tegen het rijden hier in Ned.!

Ik rij nu al 40 jaar, brommer, auto, motor en kleine vrachtwagen, en soms is het rijden hier een nachtmerrie.
Je bent dus niet de enige die tegen het rijden in Nederland opziet. Nee, dan was mijn ervaring in Oz toch wel beter.

Ik kon trouwens mijn Oz rijbewijs zo omzetten naar een NL rijbewijs. Géén probleem!!

Ook raar...ik ben ook naar Victoria geweest...en vorige week gewoon mijn OZ rijbewijs aangevraagd en gekregen...ZONDER TESTJES!!!

Als inwoner van Nederland (of Belgie...., West Europa in het algemeen) hoef je in Victoria GEEN test af te leggen om je rijbewijs om te zetten in een Victorian drivers licence. Alleen de fee betalen: Aud 142,40 voor 10 jaar of Aud 42,00 voor 3 jaar, dat is alles....

You may need to do a practical test unless:
you have a New Zealand licence; or
you hold a current overseas licence and have previously held an Australian licence - the exact regulations in this area can be complex and vary from state to state
you hold a current licence issued by an overseas country - including most of the European Union nations, Canada, the USA and Japan - whose licensing system is recognised as similar to Australia's. All Australian states and territories are moving to grant this exemption - as of May 2002 it has been implemented in WA, Victoria and Queensland, with NSW set to follow on 20 May 2002.
If you are moving to another state/territory you will need to check with the government directly as to whether they have implemented this scheme or not.


Voor WA moet je dus geen testen doen als ik het goed begrijp. ( De engelse les is nog in het beginstadium  :-D :-D)

Verder; voor Queensland;
A Queensland driver licence may be issued to a person holding a valid foreign driver licence at any time provided they?
a.   produce their foreign licence; or
b.   if unavailable, written advice from the issuing country confirming the person's driver licence details i.e class(es) of vehicles authorised to drive, date of birth, full name; and
c.   produce the acceptable documents to establish proof of Queensland residency (rent receipt, phone or power bill, letter from university etc); and
d.   produce the acceptable proof of identity (passport, birth certificate, DR/CR card, etc)

They must pass?
a.   a written road rules test; and
b.   a practical driving test
for each class of licence to be endorsed.

Dus toch een driving test etc.

Maar een Vic. bewijs omzetten naar een Qld bewijs? Moet toch even verder zoeken.

How do I change my licence to a Queensland driver licence? (interstate licence)
You will need to attend a Queensland Transport customer service centre with your current interstate driver licence. You must show at least three documents as evidence of your identity. These documents must contain one category A and one category B document. The third document may be from either category A or b.
Please note: At least one of the above documents must contain your signature and date of birth.

If your current Queensland residential address is not shown on any of these documents, you must show an evidence of Queensland residential address document.

If you have changed your name or the details of your name are different on the documents you provide, you must also show evidence of the name change from the relevant Australian Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry.

Hi Sara,

Het ziet er wel naar uit;
Overseas visitors are permitted to drive in Australia for a maximum period of twelve months, using their current overseas licences, together with an International Driving Permit issued overseas if the licence is in any language other than English.

A person who has not resided in the NT for a continuous period of 3 months is deemed to be a visiting driver.

After 3 months they are required to obtain an NT licence. This can be done by:

Undertaking a theory test (no cost)
Undertaking a practical driving test (cost $22.00)
Purchasing a licence for 1 year ($20), 2 years ($30), 3 years ($40), 4 years ($50) or 5 years ($60).

Voor de mensen die hun rijbewijs al hebben laten omzetten, hebben die een vertaling gebruikt of alleen het een internationaal rijbewijs???

Boehoe!!!  Jemig, wat een "bummer".. Gelukkig kan ik een jaar met een internationaal rijbewijs de weg op, tenminste als ik dat goed begrepen heb. Ik rij hier al 18 jaar dus dat zal wel even wennen zijn in Oz...
Maar inderdaad Rene, als dat het enige is, dat overleven we dan ook wel....

Ik zal voor alle zekerheid Clint vragen of hij dat kan checken..
