Meanwhile, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has left open the possibility that a decision on the state's border reopening to Greater Sydney could happen ahead of schedule next week, but will seek advice from Dr Young on Tuesday.

Dr Young said she was still looking at the end of the month before making a decision on opening Queensland to New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia after the recent outbreak there.
However, she accepted people would expect some sort of relaxation of the tough restrictions as Victoria had recorded 24 days with no new cases and New South Wales was 16 days COVID-19 free and 28 days without any unlinked cases.
