Thanks y'all, after a wonderfull weekend (with of course the New Years drink in Utrecht) it's back to the real world. Now that we are down to earth again and with both feet on the planet, we realize that we still have a lot to do in a pretty short time.

Today it was back to work and getting up bright and early in the morning, and now we have to indexize what we have to do in the comming weeks/months.
I guess it is still a bit strange realizing that we have achieved the first major goal and now have to move on to the next.. :)

Anyway, I guess I'll just nagg and herase you lot with boring stories ...

Greetz,
Koen & Katrina

@ Mir,TheBroute & Patrick & Yvonne,

Yes we are very happy to have the visa, we are now very bussy with the invitations for our wedding, and next month we'll be starting to arrange the moove out of the appartment and the sale of most of my things... :-( :-D

So yes we are going to be very bussy the last couple of months, but we know why we are doing it and what for.....

Gr.Koen & Katrina

Sara & Jean, Thank you guys, we really appriciate it

At the moment we are quite bussy designing the invitations for the wedding, they need to be in 2 languages, Dutch and English because not all the guest speak or read English. This all takes a lot of time. For me it's extra bussy because I have the contacts here in holland and all Katrina can do is to think out what she wants on the invitations.
From work I call Oz to arrange the place, the wedding celebrant and my friends to pass on their addresses and so on and so forth..... :|

I haven't even had the time to worry about the stuff I have to sort out soon so we can start selling stuff, because we leave the appartment the first of April and move in with me mum the last month and a half.

Well I'm really looking forward to the day that I can call Katrina my wife.... but I now know why I'm happy that we are not going to have a traditional wedding... :-D

Ok this is it for now.... See y'all later....

Greetz,
Koen

Hello dear Forumers and Foruminnen...

Something news to tell you :

Yesterday we went to our travelagency to see if we could by some extra luguage space on the plane for when I leave.
This was no problem, we could buy 10 Kilo and had to pay €55,- for that.
After a tip from our dear friends Ton & Ineke I had called the airliner first to see if I could arrange it through them, but the sent me to my travelagent. They also explained to me what the posibilities are, and that you can ONLY arrange anything with them if you have booked directly with them.
So when I went to the travelagent I was well prepared. When I came at the travel agent he tried to tell me that I could only buy a additional 10 Kilo's and no more. He didn't know about the free other ten that you will receive from SA itself, as soon as you have proved that you are migrating.

Thank god I could tell him and he went for it, now I have the 20 kilo's extra that I need.

Now we are flying with Singapore Airlines and as I have seen on the forum a lot of others are doing that as well so here ia all information in a list in dutch:

     10 kilo mee mag nemen.
3. Wanneer je rechtstreeks bij SA hebt geboekt moet je gewoon vragen hoe het zit met die extra gratis kilo's, wees ook niet
bang te melden dat je meerdere personen kent die wel 20 kilo extra mee mochten nemen.

If anybody has more questions, just let me know sent a PM and I will get back to you..

Goodluck and see y'all later.,
Koen

Hi Koen. They almost had me convinced that 10 kg are the maximum at the travel agency.
(Although, I'm not sure if the 20 kg offer also works for student visas )

... and then we called Quantas (for the flight Sydney-Wagga Wagga).
They wouldn't allow anything more than 20 kg total! Apparently because it's
such a small plane.
One of these flying doctors propeller planes?  :plane: ?

So we're 'immigrating' with 20 kg each which will have to do until our
container arrives. Thank god it's summer and we'll only need light clothes :sunny: :-D

.........a new kind of dip...............JASSIANDIP

nope, no idea what I'm thinking....... :doofywave:

Bye

Miranda  :)
