Onderstaand het bericht van CPA Australia. In plaats van 12 kennisgebieden (die getoetst zijn voor de skills assessment t.b.v. het visum) hebben ze er nu 8. In ieder geval voor de aanvraag voor associate membership. Of deze nieuwe indeling ook geldt voor de visum-aanvraag is mij niet bekend. Er wordt nu dus een nieuwe assessment uitgevoerd op basis van deze 8 kennisgebieden. Het is heel frustrerend omdat in de skills-assessment voor emigratie doeleinden letterlijk staat dat ik in aanmerking kom voor associate membership als ik de company law module heb afgerond. De assessment is gedateerd 9 juli 2009. In september ben ik met de module begonnen en heb op 1 december eindexamen gedaan. Nu een positieve uitslag en ondertussen hebben ze de regels aangepast!!!
Overigens hoefde ik geen assignments in te leveren als onderdeel van de module. 2 examens, mid term en eindexamen.

Even though you have undertaken a skill assessment with CPA Australia, to proceed with associate membership admission and enrolment in to the CPA Program, you are required to apply through the new Pathway Entry process.This will enable the assessment team to update your record with all your foundation level exemptions and enable you to activate membership and process your professional level enrolment. When you register on the Pathway Entry webpage please use the link for I already have an account with CPA Australia with reference number stated above.
To be eligible for Associate membership of CPA Australia an applicant must meet one requirement, successful coverage of core knowledge, which can be obtained through our 8 foundation level exams:
* Accounting Concepts and Principles
* Financial Accounting and Reporting
* Management accounting
* Foundations of Accounting
* Foundations of Business Law
* Economics and Markets
* Business Finance
* IT and Business Processes
Once a candidate has achieved, or can demonstrate competence against our core knowledge requirements they can join CPA Australia as an Associate member and commence the CPA Program - professional level.
To be eligible for CPA Status, an applicant must meet all the below requirements
1. Hold a degree or a postgraduate award recognised by CPA Australia;
2. Have demonstrated competence in CPA Australia’s prescribed Foundation Level knowledge;
3. Have successfully completed CPA Australia’s Professional Level examinations; and
4. Have have successfully completed the Practical Experience Requirement - comprising three years supervised, relevant work experience and covering technical accounting skills, broad business skills, leadership skills and personal effectiveness skills.
